Bill Johnston honored as Citizen of the Year
At a joint dinner meeting held at Smithfield Station, the Smithfield Rotary and Smithfield Ruritan Clubs honored William (Bill) C. Johnston as their 2008 Citizen of the Year. This award is given annually to a member of the community who has made a significant impact by contributing of their time and effort, as well as personal resources for the well being of others. The goal of both of the clubs is to make the community a better place to live and work.
